Policies and Etiquette

Appointments/Bookings
A valid credit/debit card is required when booking your appointment. Some of our services may require you to prepay for the appointment while others may require a deposit (50% of the appointment cost) to book.  After arriving for your appointment, you may elect to pay for your services with the card you used to hold your appointment, or you may use cash or check.
Your card will not be charged until services are rendered or unless the appointment is improperly canceled
(See cancellation policy below).

Additionally, appointments that are scheduled after a medical procedure(s), Halcyon Spa may ask for a doctor's release prior to your scheduled appointment.  In addition, this release will become part of your client file here at Halcyon Spa.

Ethics / Rights

Halcyon Spa reserves the right to refuse treatment to any person who does not respect the therapist/client boundaries, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, anyone who has not paid an outstanding balance, anyone who has medical conditions that are unsafe for massage or anyone who does not pass the COVID-19 screening.  Clients have the right to stop treatment at any time for any reason. While we hope this is never the case, we understand that you are in control of your own wellness journey.  We always appreciate feedback. Or if there is something that we can do better.

Cancellations

Halcyon Spa has a minimum of 48 Hours cancellation for single services scheduled. Multiple services, packages, and groups of two or more we require a minimum of 72 Hours. Appointments that are not cancelled within the appropriate time will result in the card on file being charged or a forfeit of the deposit. A reminder call will be done prior to your appointment day and if Halcyon Spa doesn't receive an appropriate confirmation (no less than 48-hour notice, your appointment(s) will be automatically cancelled). If you have scheduled your appointment(s) less than 24 hours before the appointment time, your appointment(s) is/are considered a non-cancellable appointment.


Arrival

If this is your first time to visit Halcyon Spa, arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow you to unwind in our lounge, fill out a client information form, consult with your therapist, and receive the FULL LENGTH of your service(s) scheduled.  Your appointment is to begin at the time scheduled; this is NOT YOUR ARRIVAL TIME to Halcyon Spa.  If you are late, you may not receive the full length of your services.  If the client is more than 15 minutes late, upon arrival or you may be notified by phone or text, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment(s). Please be considerate of all others who have appointments following you by being on time for your scheduled appointment.

Forms of Payment / Gratuities

While we do appreciate cash or check for your payment of services or gift certificate purchase; we also accept Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.  

Gratuities are not included in the price of services or packages.  At your discretion, gratuities are graciously accepted by the Halcyon Spa staff in the form of cash.  Halcyon Spa doesn't make change for your gratuity.

Gift Certificate Redemption

Halcyon Spa Gift Cards must be presented at the time of the service(s).  Altered gift certificates WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Each in house gift certificate will be valid for a period of 90 DAYS from the DATE of PURCHASE. Gift Certificate sales are FINAL, NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE and have NO CASH VALUE

Children / Minors

Children are not permitted to wait for parents or guardians while the parent or guardian is receiving their services.  If a minor (<18) is scheduled service(s) they must have their parent or guardian sign their release form prior to the scheduled appointment(s).

Spa Packages
Spa Packages may not be broken up and all services within the package must be completed in one appointment day.  Unless extreme circumstances arise and you cannot complete your package in one appointment, we suggest that you allow enough time on your schedule to complete your package on the same day.  However, we will take each circumstance and handle it on a case-by-case basis.
